Father, DEAREST_DETECTIVE
Father is the main antagonist in both ACT I and ACT II of the now-cancelled ARG Webseries CDarchive. He is a malevolent entity that haunts Jacob within an old disc disguised as the 2010 demo of a CD-install version of ROBLOX.
Appearance[]
As seen in almost every video of CDarchive, Father takes the appearance of a normal Robloxian with a red torso and legs, white arms, and a light blue glass head. As shown in WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN, his true appearance is that of a lanky, fully-black humanoid entity, clad in robes and antlers.
Abilities[]
- All-knowing - Father can use the Memory Room located within the disc to gain access to everything documented on the device of whoever is currently playing.
- Mental Manipulation - Father excels at manipulating his victims to do whatever he wants, although his capacity to do so is limited.
- High mobility - He can move at high speeds, teleport and can perform high-speed lunges, as seen in water_grave.mov.
- Game control - He is capable of manipulating the disc in many different ways, such as crashing the game and speaking through text displayed on screen rather than through the chat box.
Personality[]
Father is a sadistic and manipulative entity. He seems to be very egotistical, using any opportunity he can to display his "work" within the CD. When people don't play by his rules and succumb to his manipulation easily, his temper reveals itself and he resorts to frightening his victims instead. He has been shown to have an adept ability to put up a facade of desperation and helplessness in order to coax his victims into a false sense of security.

- Father would probably drink gasoline if he could (probably joke).
- Father's colors and general design are ripped from Olimar from the Pikmin series.
- Father's true form has what looks to be tumors.
- Although, they apparently aren't real tumors, but rather "abnormalities that formed due to his incomprehensiveness."
- Father is voiced by Spungus in ACT I, and Procyon (also known as Xulf, the voice actor for JX1DX1) in ACT II.
- Father displayed limited power during ACT I.
- Father is implied to be aroace.
- His character is inspired by both Rewrite and MX
- Particularly the lines "I will take you to my world" and "when you die we meet again" from Rewrite V1's Trinity, as well as MX for the voice direction.
- If the glass head on his fake body were to shatter, it would simply regenerate.
- Father has killed thousands of people.
- He also caused the sudden disappearance of all the employees who worked on the disc. Their bodies were described as "hollow" with crushed throats and an unearthly liquid pouring from their mouths.
- A swapped version of Father known as Mother was concepted by Spungus, the creator of CDarchive. Instead of manipulating souls within the disc, she intends to help them survive. She has a red head and a glass body.
